In simple terms, if you are taking an Internet connection from your landline connection or Mobile operator along with phone then you will be getting DSL internet connection and if you are taking the broadband connection then you will be getting WAN Connection. How To Identify DSL Port & WAN Port?DSL port will be having 2 copper linings in the input socket of the router whereas the WAN port will be having 4 copper linings inside the port and the same as the LAN port. Also, most of the routers will be having naming on the backside near ports like WAN, LAN1, LAN2, and so on. So, we can’t convert the existing DSL port to a WAN port as the complete port structure doesn’t support the WAN. Below are the easy steps and this complete process takes around 10-15 minutes of time to complete. 1) Upgrade the D-Link software of your D2750U router using the below links.
